It's More Fun in Pangasinan!
During summer and holidays, we make it a point that we bring Isha some place else to have fun. She just loves the sea and the pool. Here are some beautiful spots in Pangasinan where you can unwind, and appreciate how beautiful nature is for a cheap price.
January 24, 2010
There was no intention of plunging into the water because the agreement was - "sight seeing only". Everyone was afraid of the sun I guess.
This was the hotel where my cousin used to work. But behind us was the Patar, White Beach. It offers white sand, crystal blue water and peaceful ambiance. Only few people go to this area because it is too far from the town.
The water was really inviting but, everyone was in a hurry! If you want to dive into a pool, this hotel does offer a pool, but it will really cost you! Might as well enjoy the free water provided by nature!
ANDA, PANGASINAN
See how far the shore was from where we were! |
April, 2010. Anda is an island connected to the main province via a long bridge. They say, this is the "Boracay of the North" also with white sand and with beautiful coastline. We went here during the Lenten Season, that was why all the best areas were in full pack. So we settled under a tree, and got comfy for whatever we got then. Good thing, we brought mattresses for the two kids.
Everybody really had a good time swimming especially Isha and Braeden (my nephew).
If you wanna try this place, better be early. Just be early. If you stay beyond 12, you wouldn't appreciate the coastline anymore.
ECO-HILL RESORT IN Malasiqui, Pangasinan
May, 2010
This was one of the biggest resorts that I had gone to. It had plenty of pools, cottages and two long slides for adventure seekers. Although it was obvious, that the resort was poorly maintained based on my standards, pwede na rin. With us were my in-laws who were about to leave for the US that time. This served as their "despedida".
MAEKRISSANE RESORT, Bautista, Pangasinan
February 2010
I could say we were lucky. We got here when it was still new and the entrance was only P65.00. This was Isha's first pool experience! She just loved to dip into the pool that was why we tried to bring her whenever possible.
AMIANAN BOATING WORLD
San Fabian, Pangasinan
April 6, 2012
This was the beach in front of the resort. |
The cleanest resort that I had been to. They have great service, nice ambiance, clean pool and cottages with complete amenities for a cheap price.
The cottages in front of the resort were such a hit. For a thousand plus, you have your own CR, tv, duyan, bed, a veranda as your kitchen and free use of pool. We had fun! Thanks Butsoy for the treat!
THERE are still other places in Pangasinan that's worth a visit: Hundred Islands, the zip line in the eastern part, Butaw in San Manuel and many others... Come and experience the fun in Pangasinan!
Antipolo, Rizal
December 22, 2009
I spent my toddler years in Banker's Village, and let us just say, all my godparents practically live here. So, I told myself, I have to bring my "baba" (that's how I call my baby) here. Behind father and daughter was the famous "Hinulugang Taktak Falls". It was just sad that the park was closed; we couldn't go near it.
This was the famous Antipolo, Church. I couldn't recall any particular memory of my childhood here, but I know this place holds dear to me. Outside the church are my favorites: kasoy and puto bung bung.

SM Mall of Asia
After having purchased a second hand Kia Pride in November, we headed to Manila to visit my sister in Taguig and did some sight seeing at the same time.
SM Mall of Asia was in our itinerary. This place is special to me. It was here when I confirmed after a series of test that I was pregnant.
With us were my cousin Richard who served as our driver and guide, my mom and a kasama. Isha had fun in the mall and along the bay walk where an amusement park was being constructed for the holidays!
Isha @ One!
It was after her birthday that her vocabulary improved.. Since she has uttered her first word "nose"-- her mind just keeps on absorbing more new words.
She also got so engrossed with letters. So I bought her a lot of flashcards about letters, words, numbers etc. It was fascinating to see her play with her flashcards, while unconsciously gaining more knowledge. She learned A-Z in October of 2009, mastered the alphabet a month after, and learned the sounds in December of the same year. She was unstoppable at that time (actually until now).
She can also express herself like "get water", "watch mickey", "eat biscuit" etc.
Then on January 26, 2010... It was night time and Isha was watching "The Little Mermaid". During the stormy part of the movie at the beginning, she came to me and said: "Mommy, the water is cold." This was her first complete English sentence...
Her vocabulary development was really impressive. Her two- word sentences were now up to three or four. I can also order her around like switching off the lights or fan, getting her shoes, covering her bottle and others. She'd gladly do it. She can also tell a story; she would start it with once upon a time, then heads on--
She can identify the basic shapes but she still had difficulty with colors.
In totality, I can converse with her. I can ask her a question and she'd respond logically. My only problem with her even until now is she has has tantrums, and she's such a cry baby...
Introducing--- Johanna Patrice!
Johanna Patrice was born on May 28, 2008 at Pangasinan Medical Center, Dagupan City via caesarian operation. There was no other choice then; my water bag broke at 2 am, and after 12 hours of having been induced, my cervix did not open so they really had to slice me off. :)
Anyway, I have started taking notes of her development on January 30, 2010; I regret that I started it so late because her developments are on fast track.
JULY: It was the grand finals of Philippine Idol on GMA 7; that was July, 2008. My husband was watching in our room while watching over our two-month old baby. Then suddenly, Isha hummed as she heard one of the contestants singing! From there, she would hum whenever she would hear someone singing. She would even hum herself to sleep. (Now at four years old, she loves to sing. She easily memorizes the songs she hears on tv.)
OCTOBER: She started crawling, and surprisingly, it was at this point when I found out that she loves browsing books. (Now at four, she's already a reader and books are her favorite "toys".)
She started using the walker in February 2009 but she learned to walk on her own in June of 2009. It was so hard to let her do it on her own for fear that she might hurt herself. But she did it. She just surprised us one night, when she stood up and took a few steps. We were just so happy.
She learned to talk at SEVEN OR EIGHT MONTHS. She could tell anyone what her name is. Although, she would struggle to say the syllables DA-DA-DI and MA-MA-MI. She said "mik" for milk and never "mamam". I remember she could even say the word "bath" even before she turned nine months. And other words like nose, lolo, lola and so many others.
